The Nissan 370Z coupe was redesigned for 2009. There is also a convertible 370Z added this year and a high-performance NISMO 370Z.

The Z features a roofline with a low-cut slant and boomerang-shaped headlights, which look a bit like the ones on Nissan's flagship Maxima sedan. Vertical pillars split the front air dam, while the taillights have a similar boomerang shape.

The Z's interior has a minimalist look, with a sculpted dash wrapping around the gauges and passenger confines. A three-spoke steering wheel carries a simple "Z" logo, while the center controls have leather-stitched accents flanking each side.

There's only one engine available for the coupe. The Z's 3.7-liter V-6 uses Nissan's high-tech VVEL valve-lift system — not unlike BMW's Valvetronic — to achieve 332 horsepower at a zingy 7,000 rpm. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard, and it comes with Nissan's new downshift rev-match feature, which matches downshifts like a good heel-and-toe driver might do on a racetrack.

The NISMO 370Z

The NISMO 370Z is built for the racing enthusiast. The exterior is marked by an extended nose, side sills and a different rear than the coupe. The interior sports a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, as well as black and red fabric with red stitching. The NISMO has a more powerful engine than the coupe or roadster. It runs on a 350-hp, 3.7-liter V-6 with 276 pounds-feet of torque. It's paired with a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission that also features Nissan's downshift rev-match feature. 2010 Nissan Altima

The Nissan Altima is a midsize car that is available in both coupe and sedan body styles. A gasoline/electric Altima Hybrid sedan is also offered.

For 2010, the Altima line gets a restyled hood, grille and front bumper, as well as a standard electronic stability system for all models.

The Altima coupe is shorter in both length and height than the sedan, and it also has a unique grille, headlights and taillights.

The changes for 2010 are subtle and include a restyled headlamp area and a slightly reshaped grille. Nissan has changed the wheel designs for 2010.

Both the coupe and sedan can seat five people. The rear seatback is split in both the sedan and coupe and can be folded down when larger items need to be carried inside the car.

Nissan has added a hard-drive-based navigation system as an option, and it has a larger touch-screen display. A new, upgraded Bose stereo option is available. That stereo also features a 4.3-inch color display, USB port with iPod connectivity and a backup camera.

2010 Nissan Altima Hybrid

The Altima Hybrid is Nissan's first gas/electric hybrid and is sold only in select states, including California, New Jersey, New York, and most of New England.

The Altima Hybrid is available in only one trim level.

2010 Nissan Armada

The Armada is a full-sized SUV that can carry up to eight passengers. The Armada comes in standard SE and the new Titanium and Platinum trim levels.

There is a distinct slope to the roofline behind the second-row seats, which breaks up what would otherwise be a conventional SUV shape. For 2010, there are new body-colored side moldings with a chrome strip. There are also standard chrome roof rails.

The Armada has only one powertrain offering, a V-8, and comes with a standard five-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle is available in rear- or four-wheel drive and has a maximum towing capacity of 9,100 pounds when properly equipped.

2010 Nissan Cube

The Nissan Cube is part of a going number of mini SUVs. All Cubes come with a standard electronic stability system, six airbags, power windows and air conditioning.

The Cube's tail features a rearward-jutting bumper. A wraparound window replaces the passenger-side exterior rear pillar, though there's a hidden pillar on the inside, so it doesn't make for blind-spot-free sightlines.

The five-seat Cube has some unusual styling. The dash has wavelike contours and the tachometer is white, but the speedometer fades to blue. "Water drop" accents include ripple effects in the headliner, cupholders and stereo speakers. Nissan says it styled the backseat after a sofa; the seats recline and move forward and backward. The seats also fold down, though they don't yield a flat load floor, as there's a deep storage well behind the seats.

2010 Nissan Frontier

The Frontier receives only minor changes this year and most are improvements and a greater availability of driveline features.

The Frontier is only available in King Cab (extended cab) and crew cab body styles with either a 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain.

The interior is mostly unchanged from 2009. Interior upgrades include white-faced gauges and red-stitched leather on the steering wheel and manual gearshift knob. The PRO-4X model has a unique interior with custom seating. The center stack gets a new look on V-6 models, and LE models receive new seat fabric. Leather seating and a Rockford Fosgate premium audio system are available on crew cab models. All models have supportive, comfortable front bucket seats. Adults have adequate legroom in the rear of the crew cab.

Base engine is a 152-horsepower, 2.5-liter, dual-overhead-camshaft inline-4-cylinder that makes 171 pounds-feet of torque, mated to a 5-speed manual transmission

Safety improvements for 2010 include side curtain airbags as standard equipment on all 4-cylinder and 6-cylinder models, and a standard electronic stability system on all V-6 models. The electronic stability system helps prevent loss of vehicle control during extreme handling maneuvers and inclement weather by automatically applying brakes and cutting throttle when it senses unsafe vehicle movement.

Active Brake Limited Slip, in which the truck's antilock braking system is used as a virtual limited-slip differential, is available for all SE and LE V-6 models.

Hill start assist and hill descent control are now standard on all SE and LE four-wheel-drive models equipped with automatic transmissions. Hill descent control allows slow hill descent without constant pressure on the brake pedal. Hill start assist allows the driver to stop on an incline, release the brake and not roll back for two seconds as the driver's foot moves to the accelerator.

2011 Nissan Juke

The Nissan Juke is a sporty new five-seat crossover.

The Juke is available in S, SV and SL trim levels. The Juke will have a number of upscale options such as push-button start and a navigation system with real-time traffic information. It is expected to arrive in the fall of 2010.

The Nissan Juke features stacked front lights, a grille that spans the width of the vehicle and muscular fender flares.

The Juke is much shorter than the Nissan Rogue, but its wheelbase is only about 6 inches less. This means the Juke has short front and rear overhangs that seem to enhance its stance. Standard 17-inch aluminum wheels look good.

2011 Nissan Juke

The interior styling is more traditional than its exterior, but it does have a painted center console that looks like a motorcycle's gas tank. The steering wheel is a three-spoke version. The instrument panel has a large tachometer and speedometer. The Juke has a 60/40-split folding backseat that allows for more cargo space.

Standard features include a CD stereo with controls in the steering-wheel, iPod connectivity, and Bluetooth connectivity. Options include automatic air conditioning, leather upholstery, heated front seats, a backup camera, push-button start, a moonroof and a navigation system with a 5-inch touch-screen.

2011 Nissan Juke seating

The Juke is powered by a turbocharged 1.6-liter 4-cylinder with direct injection that makes 180 horsepower and 170 pounds-feet of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission is standard, and a 6-speed manual is available, though the manual is offered only on front-wheel-drive SV and SL trims.

The Juke is also available with Nissan's Integrated Control system. This system adjusts the response of the gas pedal, CVT and steering based on three selectable modes: Normal, Sport and Eco.

The Juke's available performance-oriented all-wheel-drive system can evenly split engine torque between the front and rear wheels, but it can also transfer torque between the rear wheels. Bt sending more torque to the outside rear wheel when cornering, it can help reduce understeer, and the Juke's system can provide up to 50% of the engine's torque to this wheel if necessary. All-wheel-drive models have a multilink rear suspension in place of the front-drive models' torsion-beam design.

Standard safety features include antilock brakes, side-impact airbags for the front seats, side curtain airbags for both rows, an electronic stability system and active head restraints for the front seats.

2011 Nissan Leaf

The 2011 Nissan Leaf will be the first strictly battery-electric mass-market car available in the United States. It is expected to be available beginning in December 2010. With no generator, it will have an approximate range of 100 miles. Nothing more. When it is out of power, it stops.

The Leaf is a five-seat compact four-door hatchback and has a base price of $32,780. But, when combined with the federal tax credit, it comes in at $25,280. Depending on the state you live in, the state incentives can reduce thousands more off the price.

The Nissan requires a 220-volt home charger and that charger must be installed. Nissan says the average cost for this should be $2,200. A federal tax credit will cover 50% of the cost up to $2,000, but only through 2010. The credits might or might not be extended.

2011 Nissan Leaf

The Leaf will be available to select markets and should spread over time. Mass production won't start until 2012.

The two trim levels are SV and SL, which include a standard navigation system and cellular connectivity. The SL is an additional $940 and it adds a backup camera, fog lights, automatic headlights and a solar-panel spoiler.

The 220-volt home charging station requires a 20-amp dedicated circuit, though a 40-amp circuit is better.
A depleted battery recharges in four to eight hours at 220 volts. It takes 16 to 18 hours at 110 volts. Nissan requires the 220-volt home charging station, but 110-volt charging is offered as a supplement.
A full charge should cost less than $3.
A quick-charge station (where available) will charge a depleted battery to 80 percent in about 26 minutes.
The lithium-ion battery pack has a capacity of 24 kilowatt-hours and a life expectancy of five to 10 years.
The Leaf can be programmed to charge at a specified time to exploit cheaper off-peak electric rates.
The owner can also program the Leaf from any internet-enabled computer or phone, or preheat or cool the cabin rather than use battery power, diminishing range.

2010 Nissan Maxima

The Nissan Maxima returns for 2010 and is available in two trim levels: 3.5 S and 3.5 SV. Both have a 290-horsepower, 3.5-liter V-6 engine.

The cabin of the Maxima looks much like the Infiniti's cabin and is more upscale than most in its price-range.

The Maxima's 3.5-liter V-6 engine makes an estimated 290 hp and 261 pounds-feet of torque. A continuously variable automatic transmission is standard.

2010 Nissan Murano

The 2010 Nissan Murano seats five. There are three trim levels of the Murano: S, SL and LE. All three now come with front-wheel or all-wheel drive.

The Nissan Murano was redesigned for 2009 and there are are no significant changes for 2010.

The front end has bold headlight clusters and optional bi-xenon headlights. The rear end has some distinctive shapes, including a rear window designed for good rear visibility. LED taillights and dual chrome tailpipes are standard, while a roof rack and a power liftgate are optional.

The Murano's interior can incorporate double-stitched leather, aluminum or wood trim.

The Nissan Murano is powered by the 3.5-liter V-6. It makes 265 horsepower and 248 pounds-feet of torque. It has a continuously variable transmission called Xtronic.

In addition to the required front airbags, the Murano has side-impact airbags for front occupants and side curtains to protect both rows of seats. The curtains are designed to deploy in the event of a rollover, too.

2010 Nissan Rouge

The Nissan Rogue is offered in the base S and the upscale SL trims. The Rogue is powered by a 4-cylinder engine and is available with front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The Rogue seats five people.

The 2010 Rogue features a new 360-Degree option package that includes privacy glass, a rearview camera, a rear spoiler and a chrome grille.

The Rogue's driver and front passenger sit on bucket seats and face a fairly minimalist dashboard. Dash vents and control knobs are accented with silver-colored surrounds, and the instrument panel is dominated by two large gauges with orange illumination. An available flat-folding front passenger seat allows you to carry long items inside the SUV, and the second row features a 60/40-split folding bench seat.

2010 Nissan Sentra

The Sentra has rear cupholders that can hold 32-ounce cups and 20-ounce bottles; high-mounted front-seatback pockets for backseat passengers; and a configurable partition in the trunk that can form two compartments.

The Sentra is taller than most compacts. This trend improves forward visibility and entry and exit from the car by increasing the minimum seat height. A 60/40-split folding backseat is standard. The instrument panel is upgraded with new reddish-orange gauge illumination, chrome accents on the climate-control knobs, and a redesigned audio interface.

Sentra SE-R and SE-R Spec V

The Sentra SE-R and SE-R Spec V sportier versions of the Sentra. The SE-R is built for mainstream consumers who want a sportier feel; the Spec V is geared toward the enthusiast crowd.

Both of the SE-Rs are distinguished from the regular Sentra by exterior enhancements, including different nose and tail treatments, side sill extensions and a rear spoiler. The SE-R boasts numerous interior upgrades, including an oil pressure gauge, lateral G-force meter and cloth sport seats embroidered with the SE-R designation. The SE-R Spec V adds red seat belts.

The Sentra's MacPherson strut front suspension and, particularly, the semi-independent torsion-beam rear suspension are unlikely to please sport enthusiasts, but performance, not construction, is what matters most. The Spec V has a firmer suspension and larger brakes with rear discs.

The Nissan Titan is full-size truck that has not done well in the U.S. market. Production at its Mississippi plant is expected to end in 2010 and it may not be built again. Nissan is expected to have another full-size pickup similar to the Dodge Ram 1500 and will likely feature Dodge powertrain components.

The Titan comes in four trim levels: XE, SE, LE and the offroad-ready PRO-4X. The PRO-4X includes an electronic locking rear differential, 18-inch alloy wheels, BFGoodrich Rugged Trail tires, skid plates, Rancho shock absorbers and a 3.357:1 axle ratio.

Nissan has changed the equipment packages to make ordering easy. The new SE Value Truck Package has cloth captain's chairs, a tow hitch, a Bluetooth hands-free phone system, an 8-way power-adjustable driver's seat, fog lights and more.

The Titan has additional standard safety equipment for 2010.

Nissan offers the Titan in both King Cab and Crew Cab versions, each with long-bed and short-bed cargo boxes. There is no regular cab Titan pickup.

The Titan has been unable to draw customers away from the Big Three competitors. Its body features:

2010 Nissan Titan Crew Cab

A bench seat is standard in XE and SE models, with buckets seats standard on LE and PRO-4X Titans. On models equipped with bucket seats, a center console can hold beverages and has a 12-volt power outlet and a cargo bin that can be configured to hold hanging files. The PRO-4X gets unique seats, meters and gauges, in addition to a red-stitched, leather-trimmed shift knob and steering wheel. The luxury LE offers plenty of wood trim, and there's an available 10-speaker, 350-watt Rockford Fosgate audio system.

2010 Nissan Versa

The 2010 Nissan Versa is a subcompact that is available as both a hatchback and a sedan. The Versa features a few new exterior changes and a revised interior.

The Versa has a monotone exterior with no side moldings, mesh grilles or chin spoilers. The large windshield and side windows increase visibility, especially on the hatchback.

For 2010, upscale SL hatchback models have a new grille design, new sport front-end and rear-end designs, bodyside sills and a rear spoiler. These features were originally available in an option package on the 2009 SL hatchbacks.

A two-tone dashboard slopes away from the driver with a high-mounted center control panel and a three-spoke steering wheel. The Versa has added new available fabrics. An MP3 jack has been added to the base model, and there are available upgrades if you want to control your iPod through the stereo system.

There are two engine options on the 2010 Nissan Versa: a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder and a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder. Hatchbacks come only with the larger 1.8 engine. The standard transmission in the base sedan is a 5-speed manual, but there are three other transmission options, including a continuously variable automatic transmission, a 4-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual.

2010 Nissan Xterra

The Nissan Xterra is truck-based SUV that is geared toward younger buyers. The Xterra comes standard with a 4.0-liter V-6 drives in either the rear-wheel or all four-wheel. The Xterra is a capable off-roader when equipped with the available Off Road edition. The other trim levels are X, S and SE.

The Xterra is marked by its standard tubular roof rack and stepped roofline. The Xterra has a short front overhangs which aids in off-road driving.

The Xterra can seat up to five passengers. An optional fold-down front passenger seat can allow for long items, because of the standard 60/40-split folding backseat. Options include an upgraded audio system and a system of rails in the cargo floor for lashing down items.

Nissan's 4.0-liter V-6 is the only engine offered. It develops 261 horsepower and 281 pounds-feet of torque.
