The Jaguar XF sedan was just introduced
in 2009, but it has changes for 2010. The 2010 Jaguar XF sports new drivetrains, a new trim
level and a performance version, the XFR.
The XF still comes in Luxury and Premium Luxury trim levels
with the XF Portfolio as a new ultra-luxury version.
Distinctive characteristics include a sculpted hood and
prominent aluminum trim surrounding the side windows. The XF has front fender
vents similar to the XK's.
The XFR is distinguished by aerodynamic treatments like a trunklid spoiler and
side sill extensions, four tailpipes, special 20-inch wheels and a more
aggressive front end with large chrome-rimmed lower-bumper vents. The hood also
has modest cooling vents.

The interior combines traditional cues with contemporary
touches, like a rotary knob in the center console that serves as a gear
selector. With its continued dedication to ease of use, Jaguar does not use this
knob as a multifunction controller like the German and some Japanese makers do.
Like the XK, the XF's in-dash LCD is a touch-screen.
When the engine is started, the JaguarDrive Selector knob rises out of the
console, and closed air conditioning vents rotate to the open position. The XF
also uses proximity sensors in place of switches or handles for the reading
lights and glove compartment lid — a wave of the hand does the trick.
The new Portfolio trim level features contrast leather-trim stitching, a
suedelike cloth headliner, unique trim pieces and deep-pile floormats with
contrasting trim and embroidered logos.
The XFR comes with soft-grain leather in ivory or charcoal, with red or tan
accents also available. The trim includes dark oak and a darker, mesh-patterned
version of the regular XF's expansive aluminum dashboard panels. The power front
seats include 18-way adjustment for the driver and 14-way for the passenger.

The standard drivetrain is a 4.2-liter V-8 with 300
horsepower. New for 2010 is a 5.0-liter V-8 in regular and supercharged forms.
Thanks to direct injection, these two increase power by 23 percent and 29
percent, respectively, without sacrificing mileage. Jaguar says the 380-hp
5.0-liter propels the XF to 60 mph in 5.5 seconds, down from 6.2 seconds with
the 4.2-liter. The supercharged V-8 does it in 4.7 seconds.
All engines drive the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission
that also offers shift paddles on the steering wheel.
The XFR has a faster steering ratio and larger brakes than the regular XF and
adds Active Differential Control, an electronically controlled, clutch-driven
limited-slip rear differential.
The airbag complement includes dual-stage frontal airbags,
front-seat side-impact airbags, and curtain airbags for front and rear
side-impact protection. Active head restraints come on the front seats. Antilock
disc brakes with brake assist and brake-force distribution are standard. Also
onboard are traction control and an electronic stability system. Optional on any
5.0-liter-equipped XF is adaptive cruise control, whose radar can also determine
if a collision is imminent and alert the driver.

Jaguar has redesigned the XJ and provided new engines for 2010.
The 2010 XJ comes in four models: XJ, XJL (which is a longer wheelbase with 5
inches of extra legroom in the back seat), Supercharged and the special order Supersport.
The 2010 XJ has a mesh
grille and new headlight clusters. The hood is domed and
creased as is the current trend.
The XJ's back end is noticeably different and seems more like it belongs on a
coupe.

The interior looks more
modern with black and chrome surfaces. The gauges maintain that classic analog
look. The same old rich leather and wood trim flows from
the door panels across the top of the dashboard. A standard panoramic
glass roof completes the interior.
The XJ and XJL come with a standard 5.0-liter V-8 rated that creates
385 horsepower. The supercharged version has a 5.0-liter engine and makes 470 hp
with the Supersport making 510 hp. They go from
zero-to-60 mph in 5.4, 4.9 and 4.7 seconds. The XJ comes with a 6-speed
automatic transmission and has an air-spring suspension and automatically
controlled shock absorbers.
The XJ has antilock brakes, an electronic stability system, active front seat belts,
and
seat belt pretensioners.

The 2010 Jaguar XK is a luxury sports car that is available as a coupe or
convertible.
The 2010 XK has new 5.0-liter V-8 engines
replacing the 4.2-liter V-8s. The XK has a naturally aspirated
version creates 385 hp. The XKR
has a supercharged
engine that makes 510 hp.
The grille on the XK is different from
other Jaguar models.
- 19- or 20-inch alloy wheels
- Power, heated mirrors with automatic-dimming function
- Bi-xenon high-intensity-discharge headlamps
- Dual exhaust

The XK has plenty of front-seat legroom, but the
backseat room is sparse. Legroom is only achieved if the
front seats are moved forward. The back seats have an odd
shape which is not the best. The convertible is almost as quiet
as
the coupe.
- Leather seats and steering wheel
- Available real wood or aluminum trim
- Navigation system
- Dual-zone automatic climate control
- Optional adaptive cruise control
- Optional leather-appointed dash
- Optional heated steering wheel
The 2010
Jaguar XK goes from zero to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds.
- 385-hp, 5.0-liter V-8 (XK)
- 6-speed automatic transmission with manual shift
function
Safety features include:
- Side-impact airbags
- Active front head restraints
- Daytime running lights
- Antilock brakes and traction control
- Electronic stability system
- Front and rear parking sensors
The
Jaguar XKR has a supercharged 5.0-liter V-8 that makes
510 hp. It has a firmer, modified suspension with better
handling. The exterior is also modified with a mesh
grille, modified fog lights, larger wheels, quad exhaust and
dual hood louvers. A 6-speed automatic transmission is
standard. The XKR accelerates from zero to 60
mph in 4.6 seconds.
